The Alaska International Film Awards is currently accepting Screenplay Competition submissions.

Each year, the Alaska International Film Awards recognizes screenwriters from around the globe who produce original and compelling stories.
Competition Winners will be announced via email, international press release, and on this website July 15, 2012.
Deadlines and Fees for Submissions
Early Submission Deadline - September 15th, 2011
Short Screenplays (under 50 pages): $20 US Dollars
Features Screenplays: $25 US Dollars
Regular Submission Deadline - November 15th, 2011
Short Screenplays (under 50 pages): $25 US Dollars
Features Screenplays: $30 US Dollars
Late Submission Deadline - February 15th, 2012
Short Screenplays (under 45 pages): $30 US Dollars
Features Screenplays: $35 US Dollars
Final Submission Deadline - May 15th, 2012
Short Screenplays (under 50 pages): $35 US Dollars
Features Screenplays: $40 US Dollars

Script Pipeline Membership
The top 5 winners will also receive membership with Script Pipeline. With the Script Pipeline Writers Database membership (valued at $99.95), writers may search through over 1,000 companies looking for material, some of which they can query direct via the site. In addition, they will receive free unlimited query/logline review from a Script Pipeline analyst, as well as discounts on notes from our Writers Workshop. Script Pipeline has over 1,000 companies in our database, and approximately 200 industry contacts receiving annual contest finalist loglines and scripts we give a "Recommend." These companies include both mid-level and major management and production companies, and a handful of top agencies.
Submission Rules
Submission dates listed are postmark deadlines.
Screenplays 50 pages or longer are considered feature length.
All submissions are handled fairly and equally, regardless of which deadline you choose. Late submissions are read and judged in the same manner as official submissions. However, we encourage you to submit as early as possible.
Please note that we will not read or review your screenplay until your entry fee is received paid in full.
The Alaska International Film Awards accepts Electronic Screenplay Submissions in .PDF, Word, Final Draft, and Movie Magic formats. Please be sure to also include the completed Official Entry Form in your email. Email Submissions to info@alaskafilmawards.com.
All submissions must fill out the official entry form application, or submit online by using Withoutabox.com. Once you finish all required fields on the official entry form, please mail it to us making sure to include your submission. Awards will be announced publicly on July 15, 2012.
Final Deadline for all screenplay entries is May 15, 2012.
